theme of memory and the reconstruction of local memories is crucial to
confront the challenges of the democratic reconstruction in our
communities," said Carlos Henríquez Consalvez, director of the Museo de
la Palabra y la Imagen in El Salvador.<br><br>Since
the peace accords were signed in 1992, many efforts have been generated
in El Salvador to recover historical memories. However, immigrants in
the United States have not been able to heal past wounds because they
lack the space in their communities to talk about the horrors lived and
that still affect us. Many people from Central America, Colombian,
Peru, still live with the trauma of past conflicts but do so in silence.<br><br>That
is why we now invite you to listen directly to the participants of the
project El Salvador: Stories of War and Hope about their experiences
and we invite you as well, to share your memories and as such, recreate
the collective history of El Salvador's war survivors, together.<br><br>"It's a way to amplify the context. This way, we become participants in history and we

Muchos Centroamericanos, Colombianos, Peruanos vivimos con el trauma del conflicto, pero lo vivimos en silencio.<br><br>Por eso ahora les invitamos a escuchar directamente de los participantes del proyecto El Salvador:Historias de Guerra y Esperanza sobre sus experiencias, y les invitamos a compartir sus memorias y así, reconstruir la historia juntos.<br><br>"Es una manera de amplificar el contexto.
