Dear All,

This Wednesday, 12/16, at 5:30 p.m., union members, students and concerned community members will rally in support of Ravi Raj, at Harvard's Holyoke Center, 1350 Mass. Ave. Cambridge (Harvard T, right next to Au Bon Pain).

Ravi was fired from his position in IT Support just two months after filing discrimination charges at the MCAD. He was subjected to sick racist taunts at work, and disparate treatment compared to Caucasian employees. When Ravi complained, he faced anonymous intimidation, unfair criticism and threats of termination! Undaunted, Ravi refused to give up his efforts to get fair treatment. He was fired from Harvard on flimsy pretexts on October 22.

Ravi has now found another position, been selected out of 180 other applicants! Harvard managers had called him "incompetent," and suggested his credentials were fake. Ravi now has an attorney who is working on a contingency agreement since his discrimination charges are so strong. He is determined to fight for reinstatement at Harvard. Please support a worker who would not accept racist taunts on the job and second-class status!
