-->Rafael Reuveny differed from Tikkun's Editor in his article  "" in the May/June issue. Although
Reuveny argued that Israel was not a colonial power in its foundation, he says
it is useful to understand it as becoming one after the 1967 occupation.
Michael Lerner wrote that "The use of the term "colonialism"
about Israel freezes discussion among people who'd otherwise listen, without
adding necessary analytical clarity." But Reuveny argued that analyzing
the similarities between Israel's "colonialism" after 1967 and that
of the classic colonial powers could be of great assistance in working out how
to proceed to decolonization by Israel today. Read the article and let's

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The Christian revolutionary tradition has risen, died and risen again through the centuries. In the 20th century it was not by any means solely promoted by Martin Luther King. It also lived vividly in many movements and groups from the Social Gospel of Walter Rauschenbusch through Liberation Theology to more recent feminist and queer theology. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Few scholars know the long history of radical Christian thought and practice better than Gary Dorrien, the Reinhold Niebuhr Professor of Social Ethics at Union Theological Seminary and professor of religion at Columbia University. An Episcopal priest and author of thirteen books, he has a long history of involvement in anti-imperialist and racial justice organizations.
