Corporate Accountability International is in the
middle of a major expansion of our campaigns and staff and has three new
job openings with our development, communications and campaigns
teams.

Our campaigns challenge the dangerous practices of
some of the world’s most powerful industries. Think Outside the Bottle exposes
the truth behind bottled water marketing and defends the human right to water in
the face of increasing corporate control. Value [the] Meal challenges the fast
food industry to stop driving an epidemic of diet-related disease, and our
campaign Challenging Big Tobacco is blocking industry interference in health
policies that protect our kids.

The Managing Director of
Development will join a strong team of fundraisers to help fuel
organizational expansion. We see fundraising and organizing as the same thing -
building public relationships with people and moving them to take action based
on shared values. Everyone on staff is a fundraiser, participating in
phone banks to renew and upgrade members and attending one-on-one meetings
with members.

We focus our fundraising on building partnerships with
individuals through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, direct mail and online
outreach. The Managing Director of Development recruits, manages and trains all
staff in the development unit, and oversees major gifts, mail, phone and online
fundraising programs. We are looking for candidates who have at least four
years of major gifts experience and is a great staff manager.

The
Associate Communications Director will manage and engage in a
range of communications projects from media outreach to publications and web
development. Recent communications projects have included the production
and release of the <A

Bottled Water with the Story of Stuff project which had
over 250,000 views in the first week and earned coverage in the NYT blog, Grist,
HuffPo and US Today. This week the communications team has trained
grassroots spokespeople across the country in conjunction with the escalation of
our Value [The] Meal campaign and the release of an exposé that makes the case

will work with the Communications Director to develop strategic communications
plans, manage the communications unit, and train staff and activists nationwide
in grassroots communications skills. We are looking for candidates with 3+
year of communications experience and love building relationships with and
pitching journalists.

Regional Campaign
Organizers are based in Boston and work in major US cities to
build a strong volunteer power base for our two major campaigns. Regional
Campaign Organizers recruit and build action committees primarily through
one-on-one meetings and house meetings. Action committees organize actions
to pressure our corporate targets, build strong coalitions, and hold media
events to expose and challenge corporate abuse.

This is a great position
for people who want to make a big impact and are passionate about stopping
corporate abuse of public health and the environment. Ideal candidates
will have volunteer or paid experience recruiting and building groups,
face-to-face organizing and/or fundraising.

The complete job announcement
