<u><b>Two Free Community Events on Toxic Chemicals in Personal Care
Products, and What We Can Do About It</b></u><br>
<br>
Join us for a free screening of the 8-minute video The <a
href="http://storyofstuff.org/cosmetics/" target="_blank">Story of
Cosmetics</a>, followed by a discussion led by Mia Davis, National
Grassroots Coordinator of the <a
href="http://safecosmetics.org/index.php">Campaign for Safe Cosmetics</a>.
We'll talk about how toxic chemicals like formaldehyde get into baby
shampoo, how <a
href="http://www.good.is/post/next-year-let-s-skip-breast-cancer-awareness-month/">chemicals
linked to breast cancer can lurk in pink ribbon products</a>, and what
we can do to make safer purchasing decisions now- and ultimately,
change the broken system that allows chemicals linked to harm on the
market in the first place.<br>
