SPEAK OUT FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION: A PRESS CONFERENCE PROTESTING THE
POLICIES OF ARNE DUNCAN<br>
Educators speak out against the so-called 'Race To The Top'<br>

THURSDAY, MAY 26TH FROM 10 A.M. TO 12 NOON AT THE HARVARD
SQUARE T STATION<br>

On May 26th, Federal Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will serve
as 'Chief Marshal' of his 25th Class Reunion at Harvard University.
A group of prominent educators will gather outside Harvard's iron
gates at that time to offer a public critique of Secretry Duncan's
policies.<br>
<br>
This Speak Out is a message to the Harvard alumni who would honor
Secretary Arne Duncan today as Chief Marshal, and to Secretary
Duncan himself, that his policies are corroding, instead of
supporting, our public educations system.<br>
<br>
We demand an end to harmful 'high stakes' testing. We demand what
Arne Duncan would deny us: equitable school funding and teacher,
family and community-based leadership in public education policies
and curricula. <br>
