Foreclosure Conference sponsored by No One Leaves. I attended this
conference last year. The work that No One Leaves does is very exciting.
Some have expressed an interest in doing something similar in Berkshire
County. I recommend the conference which I think is free to attend.

We are pleased and excited to invite you to the third annual responses to
foreclosure conference. This year’s conference, "Community Responses to
the Foreclosure Crisis: Strategies Beyond the Settlement," will be held at
Harvard Law School from November 9-11, 2012. Please find the conference
agenda, as well as a conference flyer attached to this email. You can
register for the conference through this form. As the registration form
indicates, we are able to offer travel subsidies for conference guests. ****
The second part of the conference title, "Strategies Beyond the Settlement"
was chosen in recognition of the current state of affairs as we approach
the end of the calendar year. Community organizations have mobilized
residents in increasingly powerful protests and demonstrations. Countless
post-foreclosure homeowners and tenants have asserted their rights in
courts across the country. Although not perfect, the multi-billion dollar
settlement between the federal government and the nation's largest lenders
represents potential for a step in the direction of justice for residents
in properties facing foreclosure. This year's conference will acknowledge
the progress that has been made, but ultimately focus on where we go from
here. We sincerely hope that you will join us for what promises to be a
great opportunity for rich discourse, the exchange of best practices, and
fellowship.
