<H2>Planning Board Meetings </H2>
The Planning Board usually meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. Meetings are usually held in the Second Floor Meeting Room at 344 Broadway and begin at 7 P.M. The Planning Board meeting dates can be found on the Planning Board Agenda home page and the Citywide Calendar of Events. Please check the agenda for the time and location of particular meetings.<BR>

The Planning Board makes available an agenda several days in advance of each meeting. Hearing Notices are posted 2 weeks in advance of the hearing date. Agenda and hearing notices for the current calendar year are found below. <BR>

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING<BR>The Planning Board of the City of Cambridge will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 22,<BR>2013 at 7:20 p.m. in the Second Floor Meeting Room at City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway,<BR>Cambridge, Massachusetts on a zoning petition by the City Council to amend the Zoning<BR>Ordinance by creating a new Section 11.700 – Interim Regulations for Medical Marijuana<BR>Uses, which would effect the following changes:<BR> Define “Medical Marijuana Treatment Center” consistent with its definition according to<BR>the Massachusetts Law for the Humanitarian Medical Use of Marijuana, approved in<BR>November, 2012 by a statewide initiative petition.<BR> Explicitly disallow any uses involving the acquisition, cultivation, possession,<BR>processing, transference, transportation, sale, distribution, dispensing, or administration<BR>of marijuana, products containing or derived from marijuana, or related supplies or<BR>educational materials where such activity is not conducted within a properly licensed and<BR>registered Medical Marijuana Treatment Center.<BR> Create an interim restriction on the establishment of Medical Marijuana Treatment<BR>Centers in any zoning district for a period of nine (9) months starting January 1, 2013, or<BR>until such time that the City Council enacts superseding regulations, so that the City may<BR>study their potential impacts on adjacent uses and on general public health, safety and<BR>welfare, and may develop zoning and other applicable regulations that appropriately<BR>address these considerations consistent with statewide regulations and permitting<BR>procedures.<BR>Copies of this petition are on file in the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cambridge,<BR>Massachusetts and at the Community Development Department, 344 Broadway, and online at<BR><A href="http://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/zoninganddevelopment/Zoning/Amendments.aspx">http://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/zoninganddevelopment/Zoning/Amendments.aspx</A>.<BR>Questions concerning the petition may be addressed to Liza Paden at 617/349 4647 or<BR><A href="mailto:lpaden@cambridgema.gov">lpaden@cambridgema.gov</A>.<BR> </div></body>
