Tenants United to Save Our Homes

Mel King has helped create community programs and institutions for low-income people in Boston for the past several decades and is one of the founders of the Community Development Movement. He was a leader of the Tent City victory in Boston's South End.

Michael Kane is Director of Mass Alliance of HUD Tenants and - through his work with tenants - was instrumental in realizing permanent affordable housing in the South End, among many other neighborhoods.

Sheila Dillon is Director of Boston's Department of Neighborhood Development and Housing person in Mayor Walsh's Cabinet.

MAHT's Annual Meeting:

On Saturday May 31, 2014 at 9:30 AM, join other HUD tenants from across Massachusetts at the MAHT Annual Meeting to celebrate our achievements and to plan strategies to contend with threats to  affordable housing.
We will honor outstanding efforts of our member groups and tenant leaders; and elect our Board of Directors for 2014-2015.
MAHT is accepting nominations for group and individual awards and for Board membership.
Have your nominations at the MAHT Office by Thursday May 29. Call, email or send.

Tenants attending the NAHT Conference in Washington DC June 14 - 17 are required to attend the MAHT annual meeting.  We will discuss important information about our delegation's trip.
