Speaker:
Kevin Dwire, Socialist Workers Party candidate for Governor of Massachusetts. Dwire participated in the “5 Days in June for the Cuban 5” in Washington , DC , including the June 7 picket in front of the White House.
          The Cuban Five are five Cuban nationals, Geraldo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González, and Rene González who in the late 90s monitored paramilitary groups in southern Florida with a history of bombings in Cuba . They were framed up on conspiracy charges of spying on the US and are serving draconian sentences. Two of the five, Rene and Fernando González served over 14 years in prison and are now living in Cuba .
