*Show your SUPPORT for Due Process and demand Worcester do the same!
Tomorrow Tuesday June 17 @ 7 PM, 455 Main St, Worcester MA*
Anti-NDAA 2012 resolution, Restore Constitutional Governance Resolution
(RCGR) was filed in Worcester 10/15/13 and referred to the Rules committee.
Rules committee recommended last Thurs to "file" (not recommend). Although
the ruling missed the deadline to get on Tuesday's agenda, the council
seems to see fit to fast-track this.
*On New Years Eve 12/31/11 the NDAA 2012 was passed and President Obama
signed it. Sections 1021 and 1022 of that NDAA, which state the President
may detain anyone with evidence, charges or any due process he deems
engaged in "belligerent" acts, stands until it is struck. This piece of
sh*t legislation is completely unconstitutional, attempt to relegate our
Bill of Rights to the circular file. The Smith-Amash Amendment and the
Chris Hedges lawsuit before the Supreme Court attempted and failed to
overturn the offensive sections of the NDAA. All three branches of
government have failed us. *
It's up to us at the local level to protect and preserve our Constitutional
right to Due Process. Albany NY, Oxford MA, Webster MA and Rutland MA have
passed this resolution. Even the states of California and Virginia have
taken a stand. Demand that the 2nd largest city in New England take a
stand against tyranny and pass the RCGR now! *Worcester has a proud
history of standing up for liberty: in 1774 four thousand Worcester
residents took to the streets and CLOSED the British courts, launching our
American Revolution.*
PLEASE share ASAP!
