Developers on Acorn Park Drive in Belmont have begun to remove
Belmont, Cambridge and Arlington's only urban wild floodplain forest after
15 years of
showing its value, wildlife and biodiversity. The developer's have been
slowly getting
their many permits from state agencies and weakened municipal governments.

Save the forest Rally Friday morning from 7-9am Acorn Park Drive, Belmont
off of Route 2 and Lake Street.
Another rally Oct. 13 from noon to 1pm at same location.

Silver Maple Forest bike ride from Alewife T stop at 11am around forest and
