Between 1808 and 1826, after three centuries of colonial rule by the 
Spanish and Portuguese imperialists, most of Latin America (aka Spanish 
and Portuguese America) with the exception of Cuba and Puerto Rico was 
liberated during this period, Some of the better known revolutionary 
liberating leaders of national and social liberation from that era 
through today are: Bolivar, Zapata, Martí, Sandino, Che, and Comandantes 
Fidel and Raúl Castro, and Comandante Hugo Chávez.

Entre 1808 y 1826 , después de tres siglos de dominio colonial de los 
imperialistas de España y Portugal , la mayor parte de América Latina 
(también conocido como América española y portuguesa ) con la excepción 
de Cuba y Puerto Rico fue liberada durante este período , Parte del 
liberador revolucionario más conocido Los líderes de la liberación
