Hi everyone,

I'm sharing an important film screening and panel discussion that I hope will be of interest to everyone on this list. Please join us, and help to share news of the event, especially with members of law enforcement that you may know personally who would like to take part in community conversations about policing.

This Thursday, November 3, at 6:30pm at the MFA in Boston, the DocYard and the Roxbury International Film Festival are co-presenting DO NOT RESIST, a film that explores the current state of U.S. policing and police militarization in cities, towns, and neighborhoods across the country.

After the screening, there will be a panel discussion with Craig Atkinson, the film's director, Rahsaan Hall, the Director of the Racial Justice Program for the ACLU of Massachusetts, William "Smitty" Smith, the Founding Executive Director of the National Center for Race Amity and Segun Idowu, Co-Founder of the Boston Police Camera Action Team. The discussion will be moderated by Lisa Simmons, who is the Director of the Roxbury International Film Festival and President and Founder of the Color of Film Collaborative.
