At a time of heated, divisive, and misleading debate on immigration, the
Immigration Justice Committee, Diversity Caucus, and Social Action
Council invite you to redirect the conversation. Join us for a screening
and discussion of Los Invisibles (The Invisibles), a series of four
short documentaries produced by Gael García Bernal and
#AmnestyInternational that record the journey of hundreds of migrants
from the border between Guatemala and Mexico on their way to the United
States. "Los Invisibles exposes the truth behind one of the most
dangerous journeys in the world and reveals the untold stories of the
people who make the journey north through Mexico." Jennifer Hernández,
community organizer at Centro Presente, will lead our discussion.
Refreshments will be provided.
