MEMORIAL GATHERING TO REMEMBER AND HONOR THE LIFE OF OURCOMRADE CRISTINA MARTINEZ

Our comrade in the struggle, Cristina Martinez, passed about3 weeks ago, while visiting her daughter in California. Cristina, who lived inCambridge, Mass., was active in many social and political struggles, withparticular interest in solidarity with Cuba and her native country Colombia. 


She also contributed to the international socialistmovement, participating in many conferences and organizing events. She was anavid reader and writer, always reminding us about the importance of having asharp ideological position to analyze present and past affairs.


We know her surviving children will miss her dearly. Weextend our heartfelt condolences to all her family.


We will also miss her in the struggle for social change andsocialism. Yet, with our clenched fists high in defiance of the system, we willcontinue the good fight with her in our minds and hearts. Cristina Martinez, Presente!
