[act-ma] The prosecutors who killed Aaron Swartz are at it again

Why: Carmen Ortiz and Steve Heymann protégé Adam Bookbinder broke out their anti-activist CFAA cudgel to prosecute a protester for the first time since the death of Aaron Swartz when they indicted Martin Gottesfeld late last year.  Gottesfeld allegedly helped save 15-year-old Justina Pelletier by raising awareness of her plight with a high-profile digital sit-in.  He's been held without bail by a biased magistrate since February 2016 and is facing the same trial judge who was assigned to Aaron as well as 15 years in federal prison for his courageous stance against potentially deadly child abuse.

It started in 2013 when a few bad doctors at the otherwise renowned Boston Children's Hospital messed up then-14-year-old Justina's diagnosis. They took her off her badly needed pain killers and other medications, then left her in agony locked in a psych ward. Her parents had resisted, as others had as well in similar situations, but the hospital went to its close allies at DCF to have them stripped of custody and then gagged from talking to the media. As it became clearer that the hospital had made a terrible mistake, the $2 billion institution didn't admit its wrongs, but rather used its influence to suppress accurate media coverage and sneer Justina's family as well as others who supported them. Please come support Marty on Tuesday as his judge has called a mysterious hearing for no readily apparent reason other than a possible gag order.
