[act-ma] Equal Exchange Food System Summit June 8-9th at Stonehill College

Equal Exchange is planning our annual Food System Summit at Stonehill
College June 8-9th, it is a gathering of all parts of our supply chain to
come together and work toward positive change in our food system. Our
producer partners, worker-owners of our cooperative, and members of the
Equal Exchange Action Forum get together and discuss issues surrounding our
food system and how we can come together to formulate positive solutions.
We will have discussions on the corporate consolidation of the food system,
keynote speakers from Tea Promoters of India (TPI) and Abel Fernandez on
the board for a large Fair Trade cooperative in the Dominican Republic
called CONACADO. Other speakers include Migrant Justice in VT, Interfaith
partners, local dairy cooperatives, and other alternative traders
discussing common struggles and lessons surrounding our food system.
