> Esteban Otto Thomasz is an economic researcher and consultant. He has participated in projects funded by national and international organizations in fiscal governance, macroeconomic risk and climate risk assessment. He was Research Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he explored methodologies to value the economic impact of climate risk in cities and regional development. As director of the Special Program on Socioeconomic Vulnerability to Climate Risk at University of Buenos Aires, he developed metrics to estimate the socioeconomic cost of climate risk at rural and urban areas in Argentina and Spain. He holds an MBA and PhD from Buenos Aires University, a Fellowship in Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and graduate courses of Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management from Harvard University.
