Join us for an Eyewitness Account of Life in Cuba and Effects of US
Blockade! Thursday, December 5th 7-9 PM at the First Baptist Jamaica Plain
(633 Center St., JP). Hear from the Boston Participants of the
International May Day Work Brigade, Judy Freiwirth, Aba Taylor, and Bob
Mulcahy. Learn about: the challenges for Cuba due to recent US policies
(such as Helms Burton Act and travel restrictions), the over 1
million-person May Day march, the highly participatory new Cuban
constitution referendum process, significance of work brigades in Cuba, and
other aspects of Cuban life. Also hear about the results of the November
international solidarity conference in Havana from Al Foster. Sponsored by
the July 26th Boston-Cuba Solidarity Coalition https://july26.org/ and
co-sponsored by the First Baptist Jamaica Plain. For more information,
contact Nalda Vigezzi at nalvig at hotmail.com <mailto:nalvig at hotmail.com> .
