The Militant Labor Forum presents
Abortion Rights and the World Wide Fight for Womens Emancipation
From Managua to Buenos Aires, from Santiago de Chile to New York the fight to establish or defend a womans right to choose abortion stands at the center of the struggle for womens liberation today.
As in the US -- where the White House, Congress, state legislatures, and the courts continue their bipartisan attempt to curtail the right of women to control their own bodies -- women around the world face the opposition of the church and state to this fundamental right.
In country after country opponents of a womans right to choose have mounted a massive propaganda campaign to brand abortion as murder, and women who have abortions as murderers.
Come discuss why the fight to make abortion safe, legal and available is in the interests of workers and farmers world wide and why providing a clear defense of womens right to control their own bodies is key to mounting the kind of struggles needed to gain and defend this right.
