       Networking to Win Your Campaigns.


         Session 1: 10:15-11:45

Building powerful social networks: The internet as an organizing tool

In this inspirational session participants will learn about organizing
and leading social change in the age of connectivity. Using examples
from network-centric advocacy, this session will highlight the strategy
shifts necessary for organizers to be successful in today's media
environment. This session will include examples of netcentric campaigns
and talk about emerging strategies for reaching and engaging audiences.
This session will also discuss approaches to organizing a fractured
movement, networking people, and strategizing to create change.


         Session 2: 1:00-2:30:

What's next? Using networks to win campaigns

This participatory session will focus on turning theory into practice.
The goal will be to identify resources and next steps for learning how
to use web tools for increasing the power and grassroots participation
in a campaign. This session will also introduce participants to a range
of Web 2.0 tools, including blogs, Really Simple Syndication (RSS),
podcasting, social bookmarking, mapping applications, popularity sites,
photo sharing sites, and mashups.
