  INVITATION FOR AN ORGANIZING MEETING FOR MAY 1ST. 2008 IN THE BOSTON COMMON
  Thursday, March 27, 7pm -- 33 Harrison Avenue, 5th Floor, Chinatown, Boston.
  (This meeting had been scheduled for Sat. 3/29 but had to be rescheduled due to timing conflicts.)

  Dear compas,

  The time is approaching again for May Day, International Workers Day.  In the spirit of the martyr anarchists of Chicago of 1886 who gave their lives in the struggle for the 8-hour work day, we continue to honor their lives struggling for migrant workers rights.

  This year when presidential politicking pretends to bury the demand to find a solution to the situation of 12 million undocumented migrant workers and their families, we must show that we are strong. We must make it clear that this is a struggle for human and labor rights.

  We have decided to rally and march on May 1st. in Boston under the preliminary slogans of:

  * No more raids and deportations
  * Legalization for all migrant workers now
  * Stop politicking with the suffering of millions
  * Immigrant rights = human and labor rights
  * Stop the militarization of the borders and tear down the wall
  * International unity in the struggle for migrant workers rights

  You and your organization are invited to endorse this event. To that effect we will hold an open meeting to organize May Day on Saturday, March 29, from 2pm to 5pm at 33 Harrison Avenue, 5th Floor, Chinatown, Boston. Please save the date now and come to the meeting on the 29th. Thank you!

  INVITACION PARA UNA REUNION DE ORGANIZACION PARA EL PRIMERO DE MAYO DE 2008 EN EL BOSTON COMMON
  Jueves, 27 de marzo de 2008, 7PM -- 33 Harrison Avenue 5to. Piso, Chinatown, Boston
  (Esta reunión había sido anteriormente programada para el sábado 29 pero tuvo que ser cambiada debido a conflictos de horario para el fin de semana.)

  Estimados/as compas,

  Se acerca nuevamente el momento de mobilizarse para el Primero de Mayo, el Día Internacional de los Trabajadores. En el espíritu de los martires anarquistas de Chicago de 1886, quienes dieron su vida por la lucha de la jornada por las 8 horas de trabajo, nosotros continuamos haciendo honor a sus vidas en la lucha por los derechos de los trabajadores migrantes.

  Este año cuando la poliquería por las presidenciales pretende enterrar la demanda de encontrar una solución a la situación de 12 millones de trabajadores migrantes indocumentados y sus familias, nosotros debemos demostrar que somos fuertes. Debemos dejar sentado con claridad que esta es una lucha por derechos humanos y laborales.
  Nosotros hemos decidido marchar bajo las siguientes demandas preliminares:

  * No más redadas ni deportaciones
  * Legalización para todos los trabajadores migrantes ahora
  * No más poliquería abusando del sufrimiento de millones
  * Derechos para inmigrantes = derechos humanos y laborales
  * A frenar la militarizacion de la frontera y a derrumbar las murallas
  * Unidad internacional en la lucha por los derechos de los trabajadores migrantes

  Lo invitamos a que usted y su organización endorsen este evento. Para ese efecto organizamos una reunión de trabajo para organizar el Primero de Mayo en Boston. La reunión se llevará a cabo en 33 Harrison Avenue, 5to. Piso, Chinatown, Boston de 2pm a 5pm. Por favor asegure la fecha ahora y asista el 29. Muchas gracias.
