This panel will examine the issue of the Left in Latin America with a
focus on Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela. The panel
includes Manuel Antonio Garretón, Universidad de Chile; Wendy Hunter,
University of Texas-Austin; Sebastián Etchemendy, Universidad Torcuato
Di Tella; Margarita Lopez Maya, Universidad Central, Venezuela; Raul
Madrid, University of Texas-Austin, and will be moderated by Merilee
Grindle, David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies; Kennedy
School of Government.
