Below
is an announcement of the visit by a woman running for vice-president
who is defending the interest of the working-class, in contrast to the
candidates of the two parties of big business.  Alyson Kennedy is the Socialist Workers Party candidate for vice president.  Kennedy
has worked as an underground coal miner in Alabama and Utah, and was
part of a fight to organize the CoOp mine in Huntington, Utah.  She
is coming to Boston after meeting with workers and immigrant rights
activists who have been part of responding to the recent murder of a
25-year old Mexican immigrant in Shenandoah, PA  in a racist attack.
During her visit in New England Sept. 7-10 she will be speaking in East Boston, meeting with students at UMass Boston, filing petitions in Montpelier, Vermont to put the SWP candidates on the ballot in that state, and meeting with other workers and activists.
