Cuba Hurricane Relief - A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition Benefit Film Showing

"Bloqueo: Looking at the U.S Embargo Against Cuba"*

Friday, October 17th - 7 PM
Community Church of Boston
565 Boylston St.

For the past 50 years, revolutionary Cuba has developed independent of and
in
resistance to U.S. and foreign domination. Remarkable gains have been made
in the
areas of education, housing and health care. And for the past 50 years, the
U.S
government has waged a war against the people of Cuba as a result. The U.S
embargo against Cuba replaces conventional bombs and bullets with food and
medication.

Last month, devastating hurricanes struck Cuba and elsewhere in the
Caribbean and
Gulf Coast, including Haiti who was severely affected.
What Cuba needs more than anything is the lifting of the U.S. blockade, and
an
immediate end to the U.S. trade and travel restrictions. The 47-year-old
blockade has
caused more than $86 billion of damage to Cuba.

Now is the time, when the people are in most need of important resources, to
end
the embargo against Cuba. Condoleeza Rice, just after Hurricane Gustav
struck Cuba,
said "now is not the time" to lift the embargo. But the people demand:

*END THE CUBAN EMBARGO NOW!*
