[act-ma] Seeking ESOL Volunteers- Popular Education Language Classes

The Boston Interpreters Collective is seeking volunteers dedicated to social justice and immigrant rights to teach English to parents and family members of children in the Boston Public Schools. Dedicated to multilingual justice and eliminating power differences based on language, these English classes teach basic grammar and conversation while developing organizing skills and building community.
 
Interested volunteers would dedicate 2 days a week/ 2 hours per class and 1 hour planning time per week (total: 5 hours/week).  Teaching/organizing experience, knowledge of Popular Education techniques preferred but not necessary.
