Organized by Javed Rezayee in conjunction with Tufts Institute for Global
Leadership
Program details:
Matan Cherov, from Harvard Belfer Center, will provide an overview of the
United States foreign policy objectives in Afghanistan, followed by two
Afghan students sharing contrasting perspectives, particularly on the
question of troop withdrawal and escalation of war.
Maryam Shansab, a PhD student from Tufts Medical School, will be making the case
why an American withdrawal is a step toward establishing the self-determination
of Afghan people.
Javed Rezayee will be arguing why a United States untimely withdrawal will leave
Afghans and American interests at danger.
