Greetings of Peace,

 

There's a NEW organization in town and we hope to jump right in and get to work! ICNA Relief USA Boston Area Chapter. Our focus will be newcomer and refugee populations but our services will be open to all those in need.

 

ICNA Relief USA is a non-profit Domestic Faith Based Social Service and Disaster Relief Agency with 12 Units throughout the United States (Ah Ha ICNA Relief Boston makes lucky # 13!!!) www.icnarelief.org (National Website) or call local area organizer Malika at 347-754-1067 Email: malika at icnarelief.org

 

Our offices will be located in Chelsea, MA at 222 Broadway (inside the Casablanca Cafe), stop by and have some Chi. Currently we're undergoing some renovations and will be putting up a fresh coat of paint next week, so hopefully we'll shine. We'll be hosting an official Grand Opening Soon - keep ya ear to the ground! 

 

Oh yea, listen out for our Spiritually Conscience Open Mic Nights!!

 

We have some immediate needs and a wish list in case you're wondering how you can help out!?! To meet the needs of recently arriving refugee families from Iraq, Bhutan and Somalia, we are establishing a weekly Halal Food Pantry to be housed at our office. Donations of can goods and non-perishable food items would be greatly appreciated - remember no pork products please. You can either drop off M-F 10 to 5 or call for pick up. Why not organize a food drive, we'll provide the bins!!!

 

Wish List: refugee families are provided with very little resources upon arriving in their new homeland, our aim is to offer some comforts of home; (NEW & Clean Gently Used ONLY) blankets, sheets, pots & pans, plates, cups, bowls, furniture, curtains, small appliances, coats and more (we have the storage, help us fill it)
