Struggle Changes Everything: Direct Action Organizing Panel & Discussion

Panel, followed by discussion, composed of individuals with experience in different organizations around soliciting grievances and mobilizing around labor, housing, and immigration issues.

Panelists will talk about their organizing experiences and strategic orientation. Specifically panel will address how taking collective action and directly confronting bosses, landlords, and other powerful institutions brings a sense of empowerment and consciousness to those involved. Discussion will focus on how best to support, network, organize, and/or supplement these activities.

There will be simultaneous interpretation to Spanish.

Habrá un panel, seguido por una discusión, compuesto de individuos con experiencia en diferentes organizaciones de solicitar quejas y movilizar por los asuntos de trabajo, vivienda, e inmigración.

L at s panelistas hablarán sobre sus experiencias en organizar y en la orientación estrategica. El panel especificamente hablará sobre cómo el hecho de tomar acción colectiva y confrontar directamente
a los patrones, propietarios, y otras instituciones poderosas da un sentimiento de empoderación y conciencia a la gente involucrada. La discusión se enfocará en cómo mejor apoyar,
hacer alianzas, organizar, y/o suplementar estas actividades.
