Friends,

Well over 20,000 people will be attending the US Social Forum in
Detroit, MI (June 22 - 26, 2010, see http://www.ussf2010.org).*
Hundreds on young people from Boston will also be joining that
conversation. Boston-area activists and non-profit workers helping
organize the effort will be getting together late Friday afternoon to
socialize and fundraise for the forum.

Join us Friday afternoon, starting at 4:30 p.m. till late, at
encuentro 5, in Chinatown (33 Harrison Ave, 5th floor, Boston, MA
02111); see http://www.encuentro5.org for directions.

* The USSF is part of the World Social Forum process; here's the
organizers' summary statement: "The US Social Forum (USSF) is a
movement building process. It is not a
conference but it is a space
to come up with the peoples’ solutions to the
economic and ecological
crisis. The USSF is the next most important step in our
 struggle to
build a powerful multi-racial, multi-sectoral, inter-generational,
diverse, inclusive, internationalist movement that transforms this
country and
 changes history."
