three Afghan women

View from a Grain of Sand Film screening and discussion

Filmed during the last three years in Afghanistan and Pakistan, View 
from a Grain of Sand profiles a doctor, a teacher, and a social 
activist. These women tell how their lives have been violently affected 
by wars of international making and three separate regimes. Yet through 
all the loss and the destruction, they endure. With courage, conviction, 
and hope these women work to improve the lives of others while living in
