*Reminder: Today at 6 pm: First Haiti solidarity *working meeting*!
*

I want to invite you all to join us today for a meeting devoted to advocacy
& activism as pathways to engage in meaningful change in Haiti. Underlying
the efforts are the goals of self-determination and representation for the
Haitian people, to address the structural issues affecting them. Tuesday's
meeting will be a *working meeting to come up with some concrete advocacy
points and start brainstorming on action*....examples may include:

   - Solidarity protests to bring more media attention to Haitian groups'
   protests
   - Actions that target our own government and UN policies
   - Writing and awareness building on the situation in Haiti (such as
agriculture, the Interim Haiti Reconstruction Commission, accountability of
   aid, resettlement issues)
   - and more...

*
6pm, Tuesday Sept. 28: Harvard School of Public Health FXB Center (G-13,
basement).
651 Huntington Ave, Boston.
*
We're open to all ideas and suggestions.... If you can't make the meeting
but would like to stay in the loop, or if you have any other ideas or ways
you'd like to support, just shoot me an email!

*I included some links below with current news on issues that aren't quite
making the mainstream...if you have additions, please share!
