[Another Orwellian term!]

The Militant Labor Forum presents --

OPPOSE “SECURE COMMUNITIES” AND OTHER GOVERNMENT ASSAULTS ON IMMIGRANT WORKERS!

· The “Secure Communities” program partners the Boston police with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), leading to more deportations.

· The “Southwest Border Security Bill” signed by President Barak Obama increases number of cops at US-Mexico border to 18,200. Obama also sent 1,200 National Guard troops to the border.

· Over the last year, the Obama administration has expanded “287 (g),” which gives local police the authority to act as immigration cops.

· The moves in Congress toward a national ID system, which will victimize all workers.

· Why working people should demand opening colleges and universities to all students regardless of immigration status.

Join a discussion on the fight for legalization for immigrant workers and why attacks on immigrant workers are part of the broader assault by the bosses on all working people.

Speaker: Laura Garza, Socialist Workers Party candidate for Congress, 8th District
