/The Wild Bunch/ (1969), directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring William
Holden and Ernest Borgnine, is considered one of the most accomplished
and bizarre Westerns of the last century. Through the depiction of a
bloody confrontation between American outlaws and Huertista during the
Mexican Revolution, this film delivers an explosive criticism of
American society and politics during the Vietnam years.
