This Saturday, May 14, the Party for Socialism and Liberation will hold its second New England Conference on Socialism in Boston.

     REGISTER NOW: http://www2.pslweb.org/site/R?i=6-a2hloMei_3ansCTckYpA..

The recent attack on municipal workers in Massachusetts once again shows that the Democratic party is no friend of workers. The Democrat-led effort in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, quietly carried out in the late hours of the night last month, voted limit bargaining rights for teachers, firefighters and other municipal workers.

Faced with a political system dominated by two big-business parties, what are working people to do?

Register now for this Saturday's New England Conference on Socialism and come learn about the alternative to capitalist exploitation--and what kind of organization we must build to get there.

     REGISTER NOW: http://www2.pslweb.org/site/R?i=EYdpMgXXjiwccFgsn1Suag..

The conference will feature panels, workshops and discussion on a wide

variety of topics, from the movements against war and occupation abroad to the attacks on working people at home. Meet some of our conference speakers:

* FRANCES VILLAR

Frances Villar was the PSL's 2009 mayoral candidate in New York City, running against billionaire Michael Bloomberg. The Villar campaign called for taking the power out of the hands of the billionaires, putting the wealth of the city at the service of working people and cleaning the streets of the killer cops that prey on the city's communities.

* KARINA GARCIA

Karina Garcia is a New York City public school teacher and organizer with ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism). She advises a student group, Youth Against War and Racism, comprised of a dozen high school activists between the ages of 14 and 17.

* DOROTEA MANUELA

Dorotea Manuela is a member of Boston May Day Committee and a long-time immigrant rights activist in Boston. Dorotea has been engaged in the struggle against the racist "Secure Communities" program and is a passionate fighter for full rights for all oppressed people. She most recently helped organize a rally for International Workers Day.

* ARDESHIR OMMANI

Ardeshir Ommani is an Iranian-born writer, political economist and president of the American Iranian Friendship Committee (AIFC). Ommani has written a number of articles documenting U.S. foreign policy toward Iran and has been deeply involved in the anti-war movement and the struggle against U.S. wars and occupations.

Don't miss this exciting event!
