"Islamophobia: Manufacturing the Muslim Menace"

This Newton Dialogues on Peace and War program will explore the efforts of the Federal government to isolate, harass, and intimidate American Muslims in the name of Homeland Security. Entrapment and dramatic raids and prosecutions present a picture of the American Muslim community as a breeding ground for dangerous terrorists. However, the many unsuccessful prosecutions have received scant media attention. The meeting will include presentations by Thomas Cincotta of the National Lawyers Guild, Nancy Murray of the Massachusetts ACLU, and Laila Murad who will address the case of Tarek Mehanna of Sudbury, MA, a young pharmacist accused of conspiracy to kill Americans in shopping malls.

7:30 pm Sunday, June 26th
Grace Episcopal Church,
76 Eldredge St, Newton Corner

Admission is free, but contributions to Newton Dialogues will be accepted.
