THE COMMUNITY CHURCH OF BOSTON SUMMER SPEAKERS
& COMMUNITY DISCUSSION SERIES:

CCB will be hosting the FIFTH in a summer series of weekly topical
discussions.

We will gather at 11:30 AM, to share brunch. The speakers will begin
presenting on our chosen topic of interest at 12:15 PM.. Q & A and community
discussion will follow. CCB members, friends, and anyone interested, are
welcome to all of these summer events.

Please bring a wholesome, nutritious, savory something to contribute to our
brunch table. Coffee Tea & Juice will be provided.

For Our Fifth topic in this weekly summer series, Sunday, July 31, 2011, we
will be hosting an Open Meeting to review all the remaining proposals for
the Summer Speaking Series.  There are 3 dates to fill in August, as one of
the Sundays in August is reserved for the for the annual picnic.  Everyone
who wants to propose an event for August that they are willing to organize
and produce, will be asked to give a short summary of the proposed
speaker/film/panel. "Produce" means you will do with your proposed project
what Mary Lynn Cramer has done for the 4 events of July: get speaker's bios,
topic descriptions and background information together in a form that can be
posted on the CCB website; get it to Mark at the CCB office by the Tuesday
before the event (you can copy the format developed by Mark and Mary Lynn
for the July events); email the announcement out to the various community
and activist lists; email the announcement off to our independent radio
stations: WZBC & WMBR. Make arrangements with David Broeg for any
tables/chair set-up or equipment you need (or lighting effects and
purchasing of materials-e.g., John Macleod and David Broeg purchasing a
tarpaulin and climbing onto the roof to spread it over the large skylight so
we could show slides for Ridgely's Gaza presentation. And, be sure to remind
people to bring quality contributions for the brunch table. Get there early
enough to help with set up. Be the moderator/facilitator of the event
regarding introductions to the audience and conducting Q & A, as well as
announcing the following week's event. (There are always the details like
reminding people to turn off their cell phones, and limiting the noise of
refilling brunch plates until after the speaker is through presenting!)

Those in attendance, will vote on their preferred topics to be produced and
