The Militant Labor Forum presents:

Rico:
The Case for Independence
-- Report back from UN Hearings onDecolonization
Hear a
presentation on the June 20 session of the UN Special Committee on
Decolonization of Puerto Rico. 
        Representatives
of Cuba, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Venezuela sponsored a resolution
supporting independence for Puerto Rico. Representatives from two dozen
political organizations petitioned in favor of the resolution, which was approved
by consensus.
       Supporters and relatives of Puerto Rican political prisoners held in US
prisons also spoke about the ongoing fight for their freedom.

Speaker:  Laura Garza,
who represented the Socialist Workers Party at the UN hearing.

para la independencia -- Informe de audiencias de la O.N.U en la
descolonización
          Oiga una presentación de la
sesión el 20 de junio del comité especial de la O.N.U sobre la descolonización
de Puerto Rico.
          Los representantes de Cuba, de Bolivia, de Ecuador, de
Nicaragua, y de Venezuela patrocinaron una resolución favorable de la
independencia para Puerto Rico. Los representantes a partir de dos docena
organizaciones políticas solicitaron a favor de la resolución, que fue aprobada
por consenso.
          Los partidarios y los parientes de presos políticos
puertorriqueños se sostuvieron en prisiones de los E.E.U.U. también hablaron
sobre la lucha en curso para su libertad.
