Featuring Kathy Kelly and David Smith-Ferri

Leaders of Voices for Creative Nonviolence [1], Kelly and Smith-Ferri will
describe conditions in Iraq, Afghanistan,and Pakistan.

Kathy Kelly is a three time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize and founding
member and co-coordinator of VCNV.   She has travelled to Iraq and Afghanistan
many times, notably remaining in combat zones during the early "Shock and Awe
 days of the Iraq war.  

She has been arrested more than sixty times.   She has also visited Pakistan
and Gaza, and was on the ship "Audacity of Hope as part of the latest Gaza
flotilla.

She has worked with war victims for over 20 years and shares that reality in
speeches.

David Smith-Ferri has traveled with VCNV to Iraq, Jordan and Afghanistan since
1999.  His visits inspired poems in his latest book, With Children Like Your
Own.
