[act-ma] Intergalatic Critical Mass 9/30-10/2

Intergalactic Critical Mass will be a weekend long series of bike rides and events in the spirit of Critical Mass. ICM is happening for the first time in Boston, September 30th-October 2nd. Globally, similar events happen such as Critical Mass Interplanetaria in Rome and Velorution in Paris, as well as anniversary rides in San Francisco.

ICM Boston will coincide with HONK! Festival, making the weekend a full blown "Reclaim the Streets" extravaganza. The weekend will include at least two massive Critical Mass bike rides, workshops, parties, participation in the HONK! Parade and collaboration with various social and environmental projects in the area. We hope these events will draw attention to the intersectionality of social and environmental issues and be a tool for building power between local movements.

In this way we hope to re-expose the radical roots of Critical Mass as a social movement and not just another ride.

9/21 4-7pm at Puppeteers Coop - Art build for the ICM ride
9/22 7-9pm at The Community Spoke - Build up bikes for out-of-towners (please attend only if you have bike mechanic skills)
9/24 3-5pm at TBA - Join the ICM bloc at the Moving Planet Parade
9/25 2-5pm at Sprout - Free bike repair
9/27 7-9pm at The Community Spoke - Open shop night (free bike repair)
9/28 4-7pm at Puppeteers Coop - Art build for the ICM ride
9/29 7-9pm at The Community Spoke - Build up bikes for out-of-towners (please attend only if you have bike mechanic skills)
9/30 2-5pm at Boston Common - March (or bike) against the banks with City Life/Vida Urbana
9/30 6pm at Copley Square - Boston Critical Mass
