Hey folks,
Last nigth the General Assembly in the Boston Common made it official:
We begin our Occupy Boston action on Friday at 6pm at Dewey Square park.
See http://occupyboston.com/ for updates.
Basically, we are taking inspiration from the Occupy Wall St. movement which
is spreading across the country like WILDFIRE.
See https://occupywallst.org/ for more info .
Last night was a beautiful continuation of the first General Assembly
meeting we did on Tuesday. Suffice it to say that we need AS MANY PEOPLE as
possible to be there at the start of this thing, this Friday. We already
have an outreach committee, a legal team, a tactical working group, an
educational team, a medical team, and a food distribution team too.
Tahrir Square had NONE of these things before the occupation of January 25
in Egypt began. We have them all in motion already. So you will be safe,
fed, healthy, and inspired from day one!
I, like many others, will be bringing a tent, sleeping bags, books, and
other supplies to camp out this weekend. I encourage you to do the same. If
for some reason, you cannot make it on Friday, PLEASE PREPARE to donate
money for legal defense, or food for feeding the activist encampment, or
supplies like a tent sleeping bag, yoga mat, whatever. We will need all the
support we can get.
Whether you can give 100% or only 1% to this movement right now, please also
SPREAD THE WORD. There are flyers posted on the website (
http://occupyboston.com), there is a Facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/OccupyBoston
And twitterage: #OccupyBoston, @Occupy_Boston
A great article on the first General Assembly in Boston was covered by the
UK Guardian!

See http://occupytogether.org for more info on the nation-wide movement in
DOZENS of US cities.
This is the moment we have been waiting for.
Let's seize it!
Occupy Boston!
Brian
