I'm writing to let you know about an opportunity to work with Gay & Lesbian
Advocates & Defenders as a Special Events/Development Intern. This is an
amazing learning experience and we're hoping to find a student who shares
our passion for social change and has a willingness to learn more about
development and event planning. The description is below, anyone interested
should send their resume and a brief statement of interest (cover letter)
to GLAD's Database & Special Events Assistant, Mo Pepin, at mpepin at glad.org.
Please share this email with your friends. *You do not have to be a student
to apply.* If you are a student, we'll work with you if you're able to
receive credit.

*Disclaimer: *The intern would be working directly with me. I'm GLAD's
Senior Manager of Events and Donor Engagement. Thanks for helping us find
someone great!

way. Join us and learn about or gain further experience in special events
fundraising and non-profit development*.

(Raiser’s Edge).

Justice Council briefings.

§ Accompany staff on regional event site visits.

§ Prepare Spirit of Justice Award Dinner corporate sponsorship packets.

§ Pre-event recruitment and coordination of volunteers.

§ Assist with annual event budget prep.

§ Perform other tasks as needed to carry out fundraising objectives and
priorities for entire organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in non-profit
development and preferably some background in an administrative office
setting. The ability to take direction, show initiative and follow through
