a free film and discussion series about
occupied peoples /
people's occupations

Note: This film is a WORK IN PROGRESS. | www.leftonpearl.org
On March 6, 1971, International Women's Day, marchers turned left on
Pearl St. in Cambridge, Mass., and took over a Harvard University
at 888 Memorial Drive, declaring it a Women's Center. The women occupied
the building for ten days. This action transformed participants' lives
sparked the creation of many, still vibrant, community-based projects.
LEFT ON PEARL highlights this significant, but hidden, chapter in Second
Wave feminist history. Some of the original occupiers and those who
on the film will be present for discussion afterward.
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16th, 2012, 7:30pm
Community Church, Copley Square
565 Boylston St. #2
Sponsored by the Howard Zinn Memorial Lecture Series @ OCCUPY BOSTON
