WHAT: Colombian student leader, Sergio Fernandez, will be in Boston next 
week for a number of events from Mon 3/26 to Wed 3/28.  Non-violent 
student actions defeat Colombian Government efforts to privatize public 
higher education.

Sergio Fernandez is a student representative to the academic board of 
the National University of Colombia, and the Inclusive National Student 
Board Colombian Organization of Students (OCE).  A political scientist, 
Fernandez earned his Bachelor's degree in philosophy from the Colombian 
Xaverian University (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana), and is currently 
a law student at the National University of Colombia (Universidad 
Nacional de Colombia.)
