Loie Hayes is a coordinator with Boston Climate Action Network. She has
been organizing on climate issues since 2005, and has led energy
conservation workshops and other local climate events in Mission Hill,
Jamaica Plain, Dorchester. Before becoming BostonCAN’s coordinator, Loie
worked in book and newspaper publishing for 20 years and continues to work
as a freelance editor and writer.
The Community Church of Boston is a free community united for the study and
practice of universal religion, seeking to apply ethical ideals to
individual life and the democratic and cooperative principle to all forms
of social and economic life.We invite you to read on to discover more about

>From September through June, we have Sunday services for individuals
seeking to grow their involvement in a welcoming and family-friendly
community fully rooted in justice work.• Our 11:00 am Speakers Forum is a
time to hear from inspiring and thought-provoking speakers around social
justice topics. Our Congregational Director, Linda Jenkins, facilitates the
service where we come together to listen, reflect on what we hear, and act
upon issues in the context of our purpose. Music adds a wonderful dimension
to the service, and the musicians vary from week to week. We leave time for
dialogue with our speaker before gathering at 12:30pm for lunch.
