An Evening of the Music that inspires Revolutionaries is being held at
Spontaneous Celebrations in Jamaica Plain this Sunday January 27th from
7-10pm


Drawing three unique performances, while stylistically with their
differences, all three of these performance acts are from musicians
dedicated to social justice,

social change, teaching revolutionary and political history in the context
of music.

The show is $10-15 sliding scale

tickets will sell out at 150 capacity, at this point we are expecting some
to be available at the door but we cannot guarantee how the presales will

David Rovics lives in Portland, Oregon and tours regularly on four
continents. From union halls to protest rallies, pubs to universities, he
has shared the stage with the veritable who’s who of the left in two dozen
countries. His music has been featured on Democracy Now!, BBC, Al-Jazzera
and many other networks. His Essays are published regularly on CounterPunch
and his songs have been downloaded more than a million times. Most
Importantly, he’s really good! He will make you laugh, he will make you
cry, he will make the revolution irresistible



Foundation Movement are the political hip-hop legends of Boston. Optimus
and Eroc grew out of the critical breakdown movement and went on to perform
all over Boston, New York as well as Africa, setting a local precedent for
the power of words in and out of local and global political movements.
Community organizers, teachers and revolutionaries, their songs hold the
power of the truth and commitment led in their lives as dedicated
changemakers in this city and beyond.




Evan Greer is a radical genderqueer singer/songwriter, parent, and
community organizer based in Boston. (S)he writes and performs high-energy
acoustic songs that inspire hope, build community, and incite resistance!
At 27 years old, Evan tours internationally as a musician and facilitates
interactive workshops to support movements for justice and liberation.
Wielding an arsenal of fiercely radical songs that vary in style from
pop-punk poetry to foot-stompin’ bluegrass singalongs, Evan has been
honored to collaborate, tour, and share stages with artists as musically
diverse as Pete Seeger, Immortal Technique, Billy Bragg, Tom Morello of
Rage Against the Machine and more…
