This is the 100th anniversary of Rosa Parks' birth. In refusing to give up
her seat on a bus, Ms. Parks became part of one of the most historic equal
rights campaign in U.S. history, the Montgomery bus boycott.

Please join Governor Deval Patrick, Transportation Secretary Richard Davey,
MBTA General Manager Beverly Scott, Senate President Therese Murray
(tentative), and the *Public Transit-Public Justice campaign* as we *honor
eight Black women across the Commonwealth *who exemplify the courage and
community spirit of Rosa Parks in the fight for transit justice. Rev.
Gloria White-Hammond will emcee the event.****

Rosa Parks understood that fighting for transit justice is fighting for
