SoJust hosts events that draw progressives of all stripes that share common

care about social justice and want to eliminate the root causes of social
problems and inequities. The workshop focuses on easy ways to share
opinions with public officials who can make a difference.</span> <span

skills to influence lawmakers’ thinking and votes. Find out how to grab

style="display:inline;font-family:inherit">Miriam Stein, MSW</strong>, is
an experienced advocacy trainer, consultant and speaker. She is committed
to helping people from all walks of life become comfortable expressing
their views to lawmakers. Her recent book, <em>Make Your Voice Matter With
Lawmakers: No Experience Necessary</em> is based on a unique curriculum
Miriam developed for her advocacy workshops. <br>
Miriam is the Advocacy Consultant to the Interfaith Advocacy Network to End
Family Homelessness. Previously, she was Director of Governmental Affairs
at the National Association of Social Workers, MA Chapter and Director of
Communications at the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy
Coalition. She heads the Diversity Advisory Committee to the Superintendent
of Schools in Arlington, MA and was co-chair of Arlington’s Diversity Task
