Open to all but designed for labor activists, unionists or community
members with interest in labor issues.  No Spanish necessary.  An info
sheet is attached

Boston CISPES can provide fundraising support to raise delegation costs.

Goals of the delegation

•	Show international support for the Salvadoran labor movement in
their struggle to stop a sweeping privatization measure that threatens
El Salvador’s remaining public utilities and industries.

•	Build relationships between unions in El Salvador and the US in
their shared struggle to create a just economy.

•	Educate ourselves about the economic and political forces that have
resulted in over 2.5 million people – nearly 1/3 of the entire
population - emigrating from El Salvador and what this means for
workers in the US.


  the overall schedule of the delegation is:

Sunday, 4/28  orientation
  Monday, & Tuesday 4/29 & 30 meetings with union allies
Wednesday, 5/1 May Day march
Thursday  5/2 lobbying Salvadoran officials
  Friday, 5/3 delegation press-conference
  Saturday 5/4  return home
